Engineering Air Quality for the Built Environment

Air curtains are one of the HEVAC industries best kept secrets!!

Too few people appreciate the energy saving capabilities of a correctly specified, air curtain installation. The air barrier works to keep opposing environments apart but must be effectively installed and maintained to achieve maximum benefits.

Creating a better environment and saving energy

Welcome to my blog. Being new to bloging I hope that anyone reading this will help support me to develop this site into a useful resource by giving feedback and joining in the debate to help improve the environment in which we spend most of our time in “buildings”.
I have spent the last 33 years working in the air conditioning industry. I have during that time seen many buildings and I can safely say that most of those have been poorly maintained when it comes to their air conditioning, heating and ventilation plant. I aim to open discussion on the subject of indoor air quality and to help develop ideas on how to improve the environments in which we spend most of our time. As I hold the position of Development Director for Envirotec I have a vested interest in developing new products and services for our clients and look forward to using the voice of the customer to bring about changes that can help many have a better working and living environment.

  1. Yeah, most of us abuse the use of our AC units without having them cleaned. And many of us don't see the need to maintain our cooling units. I hope that mindset will be changed in the coming years. Because when we get careless with our units, we put our health on the line. Happy blogging, Steve! :)
